Deed book G, vol, 6, p. 359 Lancaster, Pa: Christian Kneisly, late of Conestoga Twp, Dated 9-5-1836. He died without a will but had some land which was sold and the heirs received their share. Children: Valentine, John, Benjamin, Elizabeth (wife of) George Benedict, Catharine (wife of) Jacob Fry. Administrators: Michael Kneisly, Bern. Haraish.
Christian fought in the American Revolution, in the Company from Little Britian Twp., listed under Neisely, Nicely and Niesiey. This shows he was 18 years or older between 1776 and 1780. This makes his marriage date of 1801 plausible. Probably the administrator of Christian's will is his brother Michael, since he and Christian served together in the Revolution and were probably close friends.
Residing in in Manor Twp. in 1760, then in Cocalico Twp. Lancaster Co. in 1773. The A.L. of Cocalico Twp., P.A. 3rd Ser, Vol. XVII, shows Christian Kneisly, single in 1773, and in 1779 in Earl Twp. married, without land.
Deed book Y, p. 158 dated 3-4-1775 states 8-16-1760 George Kneisly (brother of John) and Jacob Myer were appointed guardians over Christian, Peter and Joseph; further that, now Peter had arrived at the age of 21 years (1775) and Joseph died single. Notice that George and Jacob Myer were also the executors for John. Change: 10 Jun 2006 Time: 01:00:00.
