John Wade does not appear in the census of 1790, 1800, or 1810. He must have been residing with another head of household, perhaps that of his wife, Anna Musser.
Definite information on the family comes from the Abstract of Lancaster County Wills:
Wade John (died) June 2nd 1816 (probated) June 19th 1816. Executor Daniel Wade. Strasburg Township. Widow Mary Wade. Children - John (there were others, their names and number not given). Brother - Daniel Wade.
A poster to an on-line geneaology forum gives more detailed information, which is supported by census data (quoted in full below).
John and Daniel Wade could have been the sons of either a John Wade, who is documented in central Lancaster County from 1765 to 1780; or of Benjamin or Christian Wade, both mentioned in the 1790 census, but both without any male children at home and not mentioned anywhere else. Their birth dates are a little late to be the sons of John Wade and Anna Musser; and Benjamin Wade died before Christian, and may have been older. Therefore until better information becomes available it is assumed they are the sons of Christian Wade.
