Joseph Antaya Passes Away
Joseph Antaya, 71 who made his home with his sister, Miss Rose Antaya at 12 Spring St., died unexpectedly yesterday while visiting in Ontario, Can. He was the widower of Eleanor (Christiansen) Antaya.
Mr. Antaya was born in Attleboro, a son of the late Jean Baptiste and Mary Louise (Pelissey) Antaya. He served as an electrician in the Navy during world War I and had made his home in Brooklyn, N.Y., while engaged in electrical work with the N.Y. Transit Co. He had been retired for the past six years.
Surviving are a stepson, Joseph Fauteux of Yonkers, N.Y.; three sisters , Miss Antaya, Mrs. Mary A. Heger, and Mrs. Aura Greene, all of Atleboro; three brothers, John B. Antaya Jr. and Adrian Antaya both of Attleboro and Albert Antaya of Weir; also numerous nices and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at 8:15 Monday morning from the Foley Funeral Home and will be followed by a requiem Mass at 9 o'clock in St. Joseph Church. Interment will be in the family lot, St. John Cemetery.

Formerly of Brooklyn, N.Y., now of 12 Spring St., Attleboro, Funeral will be held from the Stephen H. Foldy Funeral Home, 126 South Main Street, Monday morning, August 10, at 8:15 a.m. followed by Requiem High Mass in st. Joseph Church at 9 o'clock. relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment St. John Cemetery.

Mass Said for Joseph Antaya
The funeral for Joseph Antaya was conducted this morning from the Foley Funeral Home and was followed by a requiem Mass, celebrated by the Rev. Ubaide J. Deneault in St. Joseph Church.
The Rev Edware A. Rausch conducted the committal service at the family lot, St. John Cemetery, Bearers were Cmdr. Robert Fredette and Past Cmdr. Howard Johnson, both ;of the American Legion, Donald Cameron, Arthur Leroux, Earl Niquette, Representing BPO Elks, and Frank Hunt, Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Antaya, widower of Eleanor (Christiansen) and formerly of 12 Spring St. died unexpectely Thursday while visiting in Canada.
