Ancient mountain town with an important Moorish castle at 330 m altitude 27 km north of Valencia and west of Sagunto.
It retained a large Muslim population for centuries after its reconquest in 1238 (80 houses in 1609 at the time of their final expulsion from Spain). The ruins of the Moorish castle are still visible. Latitude: 39º 41' ; Longitude 0º 26' E.
